Tournament Info:
The 8th Annual Nusantara Cup 2007 Ultimate Frisbee Tournament is being
held on Bali, the Island of the Gods. A perfect location for friends
and family, Bali offers everything you could want: beautiful weather,
incredible culture, awesome nightlife, fantastic beaches and surfing,
super-luxury accomodation at attractive prices. Tournament Format: The as much as we would like to have a 4:3 tournament, this year the Nusantara Cup will default to a Male:Female ratio of 5:2 with 4:3 available either point by point or game by game on mutual agreement of captains. At this stage it looks like most teams are going to be playing 5:2, but keep it in mind for next year. Any ronin women out there who feel like a holiday in Bali? At present we have 8 teams and the draw will be finalised and posted here in the coming weeks. Registration
Registration fee this year is Rp. 550,000 and gets you a disc, food and drink on both days of play, myriad discounts at Bali's finest restaurants, and entry and drinks at our famous after party. To register, send an email to nusantara_cup @ ultimateindonesia.com with your name, gender, and team you'll be playing with (if you don't have one, see below).
No Team? No Problem! Everyone is Welcome !
Coming on your own and looking for a team to play with? No problems,
everyone is welcome! We'll arrange for you to join one of the tournament teams that may be short-handed, and if we have enough people we might even form an International All-Stars Team. Let us know when you register and we'll help to sort you out. Any Old Discs? Bring them for Klub Frisbee Jakarta!
If you have any old discs, no matter how beat up they are, they'll
be given a good home in East Jakarta with Klub Frisbee Jakarta. KFJ is a
club started in 2006 to provide sporting opportunities to young
people from economically disadvantaged areas of East Jakarta.
Ultimate is often claimed to be an egalitarian sport because the only
equipment you need is a disc and a field - without a local
manufacturer, we're still working on that first one...
Also, we lost most of our discs in the recent flooding in Jakarta so we need a new influx to keep the spirit alive. Party Theme
Party theme will be "Welcome to the Jungle". Make of that what you will, but we'd better warn you, Discindo has Nanang sorting out their costumes so the competition for best costume will be fierce...
Fields:
We are pleased to announce that we have secured Lapangan Sesetan for the second year in a row so start looking forward to laying out on their soft, soft grass, watching world-class ultimate under their shady, shady trees and, gentlemen, having the novelty of pissing straight into the adjacent river using their unique, unique urinals...
